Accounts and audits your tax return can stand on

The tax computation starts from the profit in the financial statements, so the return is only as reliable as the books behind it. We keep the records, run the year-end close and prepare IFRS financial statements, audited where the law requires.

Comply

Who this is for

  • Companies with revenue above AED 50 million, whose tax periods from 1 January 2025 need audited financial statements.
  • Free zone entities relying on 0% as a Qualifying Free Zone Person (QFZP), which must be audited whatever their size.
  • Tax Groups that now need audited special-purpose statements aggregating every member.
  • Finance teams whose books are kept for VAT and management reporting, but have never been tested against a corporate tax computation.
  • Groups whose year-end close and intercompany reconciliations run for months and squeeze the time left before the nine-month deadline.
  • Subsidiaries whose books have fallen behind with a return due within the year.

What we do

The work, end to end.

01

CT-ready bookkeeping

Monthly or quarterly bookkeeping in Zoho Books (we are a Zoho Advanced Partner) or your existing system, coded so the items corporate tax treats differently are visible: entertainment, interest, related-party transactions and payments to owners and directors.

02

Year-end close

Accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, inventory, and bank and intercompany reconciliations, closed to a timetable that leaves room for the tax computation and any audit before the nine-month deadline.

03

IFRS financial statements

A full set of financial statements with notes, prepared under IFRS for the auditor, the bank, the board and the corporate tax return.

04

Book-to-tax bridge

A schedule tying every line of the tax computation to a ledger balance, so each add-back, exemption and loss can be traced and defended.

05

Audit, where the law requires it

Audits are led by Mustafa Ahmad, Partner, Assurance & Audit, and planned around the filing deadline. Where another firm is the auditor, we prepare the schedules and reconciliations it requests.

06

Tax Group aggregated statements

Special-purpose statements combining the members of a Tax Group on an IFRS or IFRS for SMEs basis, with intra-group items eliminated, ready for audit under International Standards on Auditing.

07

Records to the FTA's standard

A filing structure that holds every record for seven years, with electronic copies meeting the standards in FTA Decision No. 4 of 2026.

For tax periods starting on or after 1 January 2025: any company with revenue above AED 50 million, every Qualifying Free Zone Person and every Tax Group. Periods that began before then still fall under Ministerial Decision No. 82 of 2023. Other companies do not need an audit for corporate tax, but the return must still be built on proper financial statements.

Yes, if it relies on the 0% rate. Every QFZP must prepare audited financial statements whatever its size, and failing a condition costs QFZP status for that tax period and the next four. That is why we plan the audit early in the year.

Seven years after the end of the tax period they relate to, covering ledgers, invoices, contracts and the working papers behind the computation. The period is two years longer where a refund is still unresolved. The FTA can audit or assess a period for five years after it ends, or 15 years in cases of tax evasion or failure to register.

The items corporate tax treats differently are coded separately as transactions are recorded: entertainment (only half is deductible), interest, related-party transactions and payments to owners and directors. Balances are reconciled monthly or quarterly. At year end, the computation starts from figures that can be proved rather than rebuilt.

Special-purpose statements that combine the group's members as if they were one entity, on an IFRS or IFRS for SMEs basis, with transactions between members eliminated. They must be audited under International Standards on Auditing. For tax periods from 1 January 2025, every Tax Group needs them, whatever its revenue.

Yes, and the earlier the work starts, the better. We review the ledgers and reconciliations, agree what needs correcting and bring the books up to date before the year-end close. Every week recovered there is time gained for the computation and any audit before the nine-month deadline.

Yes, if they meet the standards in FTA Decision No. 4 of 2026, in force since 30 July 2026. Copies must be complete, and the FTA must be able to access records held in encrypted systems. If the FTA asks for records in Arabic, they must be provided, or a penalty of AED 5,000 applies.
