Privacy policy

What this site collects, why, where it goes, and the choices you have. Written to describe exactly what corporatetax.ebs.ae does.

Who we are

This website, corporatetax.ebs.ae, is operated by ebs Chartered Accountants (“ebs”, “we”, “us”), Office 803, Metropolis Tower, Al Abraj Street, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to info@ebs.ae.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry

Our enquiry forms ask for your name, email address and phone number, and optionally your company name, the service you are interested in and a message. We also record which page the form was on and, if you arrived from an advertisement or a tracked link, the campaign details in that link (for example utm_source and utm_campaign) and the address of the page you landed on.

When you browse this site

We record which pages of this site are viewed, for how long and how far down, and which links and buttons are pressed and where on the page they are (for example “WhatsApp, in the header”). With that we record the time, the type of device and browser, the screen size, the browser’s language and time zone (from which we estimate the country), the site that referred you and the campaign details of the link that brought you here. Visits from the same browser are linked by a random identifier kept in your browser’s own storage, not a cookie. If you send an enquiry, it is linked to that visit, so we can see which pages led to it. We never record what you type into a form or a tool, except an enquiry you choose to send.

Nothing is recorded if you choose “Decline” in the cookie banner, if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, or if you use the button below. Your enquiries still reach us either way.

When you use the calculators and tools

The calculators and checkers run entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent to us or stored by us. We may record that a tool was used, but never the numbers you entered.

When you contact us directly

If you WhatsApp, call or email us, or book a meeting through our booking page, we receive the information you choose to share through that channel, under that service’s own terms and privacy policy.

Why we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for (steps taken at your request before a contract).
  • To understand which of our campaigns and pages bring enquiries, so we spend our marketing budget sensibly (our legitimate interests, and your consent where cookies are involved).
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a firm of chartered accountants and an FTA Registered Tax Agency.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you.

Where your data goes

Enquiries and visit records are stored in ebs’s own systems, run on servers of our web hosting provider. From there, each enquiry is sent to our customer relationship management system, operated for us by Zoho. If our own systems cannot be reached at the moment you send it, your enquiry goes directly to Zoho through our Zoho Forms account instead. Our team uses these systems to respond and to manage our relationship with you. Our hosting provider and Zoho act as our processors under their own data processing terms.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site works without cookies. It stores a small number of items in your own browser’s storage: whether you have seen the opening animation this session, your cookie choice, for attribution the campaign details of the link that brought you here (kept for up to 90 days), and the random identifiers that link your visits (see “When you browse this site”).

Where we use analytics or advertising measurement (for example Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel), it runs only after you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. Google tags operate in Consent Mode and respect your choice. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the banner back.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as we need them to respond to you and manage any resulting relationship, and afterwards for the periods required by law and professional rules. If you do not become a client, we delete or anonymise enquiry data when it is no longer needed for those purposes.

Records of visits, pages and clicks are kept for up to 24 months. Where we keep your IP address with them (to protect the site from abuse), it is deleted after 90 days.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and other laws that may apply to you, you can ask to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted or its use restricted, and to object to its use for marketing. Email info@ebs.ae and we will respond within the time the law requires.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS, and enquiry data travels encrypted to our CRM. Access to client and enquiry data inside ebs is limited to the people who need it.

Changes to this policy
